Leap vs Phantom: which Solana app is for you?
Phantom is the established Solana wallet; Leap is Solana Labs' brand-new trading app. Both are self-custodial. The real difference is focus: Phantom is a multi-chain wallet with swaps built in, while Leap is a trading app that adds tokenized stocks, ETFs, commodities and forex next to Solana tokens, but is still an invite-only iPhone beta.

Which one fits you?
Phantom makes sense if you want a mature wallet that works across several chains, on Android as well as iPhone, without waiting for an invite.
Leap is interesting if you mainly trade from your phone and want Solana tokens, tokenized stocks such as a Tesla xStock, and other markets in one place, with news and P&L built in. The trade-off is that it is a fresh beta: iPhone only for now, bugs are possible, and its long-term fees are unknown. Tokenized stocks are third-party tokens, not the shares themselves, and are not available to US persons; Leap is not available in the UK.
Many people will simply use both: Phantom as the everyday wallet, Leap for trading. Because both are self-custodial, your funds stay under your control in either app.
